Who operates the service

Astro Wheel is operated by Athene Holdings OÜ, a private limited company registered in Estonia under registry code 14493325. Astro Wheel is a trading name under which Athene Holdings OÜ provides this service, so the name on your card statement and the name on this page belong to the same company.

These terms govern your use of astrowheel.app and the Astro Wheel application. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not create an account.

What the service is

Astro Wheel draws and analyses astrological charts. It calculates natal charts, transits, progressions and directions, an astrological calendar, electional windows and aspect scans, and it lets you save charts and arrange your own workspace.

Positions are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris engine. For modern dates the agreement with the full ephemeris is far finer than a chart can show.

The service draws charts and reports what it finds in them. It does not tell you what to do.

Not advice

This clause is in plain sight rather than buried, because it is the clause that matters most.

Astrology is an interpretive discipline. Nothing this service produces is a guarantee about you, about anyone else, or about what will happen. Chart interpretations are a frame for reflection, not a finding.

Astro Wheel does not provide medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and its output must not be used in place of any of them. If something in your life needs a doctor, a lawyer, a therapist or a financial adviser, it needs one of those and not a chart. Decisions you take are yours.

Do not use the service to make decisions about other people who have not asked you to, and do not present its output to anyone as a diagnosis, a prediction or professional advice.

Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a contract in your country of residence.

One person, one account. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done through your account.

Subscription, trial and billing

The subscription is one plan, offered monthly or annually. A payment card is required to begin the seven-day trial. No charge is made during the trial. On the eighth day the first payment is taken automatically unless you have cancelled before then, and the subscription renews at the end of each paid period until cancelled. The trial is offered once per customer: a subscription started after an earlier one has ended is charged from the first day.

Prices are stated and charged in US dollars, wherever you are. If your payment card is held in another currency, your bank performs the conversion at its own rate and may add a fee for doing so; that fee is between you and your bank, and Astro Wheel never sees it.

Payment is processed by Stripe Payments Europe. Athene Holdings OÜ does not receive or store your card number.

Where VAT, sales tax, goods and services tax or a comparable tax becomes chargeable on this subscription, whether in Estonia, elsewhere in the European Union or in the country you are billed from, it is charged at the rate the law requires and shown on the invoice. The price is restated, and you are told before the change first reaches a renewal of yours.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel at any time from your account page. Cancellation stops the next renewal and access continues to the end of the period already paid for.

Except where required by applicable law, subscription payments are non-refundable, and no prorated refund is given for the unused part of a billing period. Cancelling during the seven-day trial costs nothing, because nothing has been charged.

Consumers in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal. By starting the trial you ask for the service to begin at once and acknowledge that the right of withdrawal is lost once it has been fully performed. Nothing in this section limits a right that the law of your country of residence gives you and does not allow to be limited.

Acceptable use

Charts you export are yours to share. Post one, publish one, put one in an article, a client reading, a newsletter or a presentation, with or without a credit. That is ordinary use of the service and nothing in these terms restricts it.

What is not permitted is redistribution in bulk or for resale: scraping or otherwise systematically extracting the service or its output, republishing that output as a data feed, a dataset or a product of your own, and reselling or sharing access to an account.

Do not attempt to circumvent access controls or rate limits.

Charts are calculated from someone's birth details. Do not enter another living person's birth data unless you have their agreement or another lawful basis for holding it.

Astronomical data and place lookup

Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris engine. The time zone of a birthplace is resolved from a bundled boundary dataset, and the offset in force on the birth date comes from the standard time zone database. Check the resulting offset for a birth in a region whose zone boundaries have changed since.

When you search for a birthplace by name, the query is sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service to obtain coordinates. Results are passed through as received. No warranty is given as to the accuracy or completeness of third-party place data.

Houses above the polar circle are refused rather than approximated, because there is no honest answer to give.

Intellectual property

The service, its interface, its implementations and its documentation belong to Athene Holdings OÜ. Charts you export are yours to use and to share, publicly included, within the limits set out under acceptable use.

The underlying software and method are not licensed to you beyond ordinary use of the service.

Limitation of liability

To the extent Estonian law permits, liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

Material changes are notified by email to the address on your account in advance of the date they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes are heard by the courts of Estonia. Consumers in the European Union keep the protections of their own country's mandatory law.

Write to support@astrowheel.app first, because most things end there. A consumer who is not satisfied with the answer may take the matter to the out-of-court consumer dispute body of their own country of residence; in Estonia that is the Consumer Disputes Committee at the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority.
